The annual Beer festival is back by popular demand, this year with a twist to ensure that there is something for everyone . During the weekend we will have a variety of food and activity to suit the whole family ranging from a large selection of beers and a special cocktail designed for us by Bombay Sapphire through to a wide variety of street food and lots of entertainment for everyone.

May 24th – 27th 2019
Below you will find an overview on the activities planned throughout the weekend
Friday 24th
We will kick off the weekend with Tony and Una. Acoustic music at its best…Van Morrison, Simon and Garfunkel to The Beetles mixed up with some Irish Flavour and Craic. They will play from 6 - 8pm.
We will also have a selection of street food available, please see below for more details.
Saturday 25th
Street food available all day – from Beer battered fresh haddock, Thai Fish Cakes, Pull Pork Burritos, Burgers, Spice Butternut Squash and Quinoa Burgers to Crepes and Ice cream to name just a few and to whet your appetite*
Fresh Coffee and Hot drinks served by La Kordun from their mobile coffee bar
Beers and Cider station. A wide selection of draught beer and cider from local breweries as well as a selection of bottles.
A Cocktail station featuring the special Bombay Sapphire cocktail designed for this event, along with a selection of non-alcoholic cocktails for those drivers and great for kids.
Wine and Cheese station – Choose from 9 wines and and 10 cheeses, selected to suit a wide taste range.
Crepe Station - serving both sweet and savoury crepes, including vegetarian and vegan choices

Evening 7 – 9pm
The party will continue into the evening with live music from The Cover Brothers
Sunday 26th May - FAMILY DAY
We will be running all the above stalls but today we will have the addition of very special activities for designed for your children. New for this this year, we will be running a kids club working with two brilliant local child focused businesses, both based in Laverstoke (only ½ a mile down the road), we have asked them to join us and turn our lovely conservatory in to the kids club, it is an ideal space whatever the weather. Both activities are complementary for guests of the beer festival.
The Watership Down Nursery provides a fun, caring and homely environment which enables children to flourish and learn through exploration and play. They will be running a drop-in play area throughout the day and the activities will include, stone painting, sensory play and a relax zone with some musical instruments and books. Open 12 – 5pm and ideal for ages 0 - 6*
* please note children need to be accompanied by an adult
Cookery Doodle Doo use fantastic quality ingredients to cook fun, tasty recipes with your kids in a relaxed and friendly setting. In their cooking classes the children can have fun and get messy, learn important skills, try new flavours and chat about where ingredients come from. It’s a brilliant way for kids to explore food and enjoy the whole experience of making something tasty to eat. Katie from Cookery Doodle Doo will join us to run two 20 min pre-bookable sessions making a ‘Flowerpot Cheesecake' using pear 'rocks', chocolate-flavour 'mud', biscuit 'soil' and even a 'growing' mint sprig!
Sessions will be for up to 10 children and be starting at

Ian Kirk - Magician. In addition to this we are pleased to announce that we will have the brilliant Ian Kirk joining us. Ian is part of the magic circle and will be amazing you with his wonderful close up magic. If you have never seen close up magic before prepare to be astonished and completely perplexed. He will be wandering among you during 12 - 2pm so be prepared.
Monday 27th May
The beer tent will be open, but we will be moving the kitchen back inside the pub and serving from our seasonal menu.
